Forest Pests and the Potential Impact on the Adirondacks

Please join Tammara Van Ryn, Program Manager for the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP), for a fascinating discussion of the APIPP response to two new recent forest pests that have the potential to dramatically alter the Adirondack landscape. Learn more about forest pests, climate change, and how you can help identify and report invasive species.Tammara is a longtime member of the Glens Falls/Saratoga chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. She has paddled and hiked many corners of the Adirondacks. In 2020 she moved from the Saratoga area to Saranac Lake to work for The Nature Conservancy. The Conservancy hosts APIPP, which is funded by the NY Environmental Protection Fund as administered by NYSDEC. This program is co-sponsored by the Adirondack Mountain Club. Registration required.
