The Asian Giant Hornet (Vespa mandarinia), also coined the “Murder Hornet”, was discovered in Washington state in late 2019 and since then has been widely covered by news media.  Join us for a presentation by Dr. Chris Looney, an entomologist from the Washington State Department of Agriculture, who will separate fact from fiction on the biology, distribution, predicted impact and response strategies for this recently introduced species. This Webinar is put on by Cornell University as part of NYS ISAW 2020.
