Adirondack Garden Club Presents: Save the Trees – Adirondack Forest Pests Prevention and Early Detection

This workshop is hosted by the Adirondack Garden Club. The featured speaker is APIPP's Terrestrial Invasive Species Coordinator, Becca Bernacki. Invasive insects present some of the most severe and urgent threats to the health and future of North Country trees - from your favorite apple orchard to the hemlocks holding lakeshores in place. Some forest pests were introduced to North America over a century ago, while others are new to the State of New York or are newly discovered in the Adirondacks. In this presentation, we will review four top invasive species threatening local trees, and what we can do about it.
