Join the Ausable River Association and the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP) for hemlock woolly adelgid field survey training. Learn to identify hemlock trees, survey for hemlock woolly adelgid, and report your findings in iMapInvasives, as well as refresh your winter outing safety skills. This trip is designed to gain field experience after participating in an HWA webinar hosted by APIPP.

Location: Owen Pond Trail off Route 86 between Lake Placid and Wilmington
Snowshoes are required depending on conditions, and limited pairs are available for loan. Participants must be vaccinated against Covid-19.
