Managing Backyard Invasives: Part 2. Best Practices for Home Gardeners and Small Acreage Owners

Many Adirondack home and land owners have invasive shrubs, herbaceous plants, and even trees growing in our own backyards. But what are the best ways to remove, replace, and restrict the spread of plants that outcompete native plants, displace wildlife, pose risks to human health, or even damage the build environment? This is a two part workshop aiming to give gardeners and land managers in the Adirondacks the skills and confidence they need to take on invasive species on their property:

Part 1. Plant Identification: Learn how to recognize and identify target invasive plants occurring on the local landscape - (Wednesday, August 11th, 9:30 - 10:30 am  - RSVP online here)

Part 2. Learn best methods to remove target species and replace them with native plants, manage larger infestation removals over time, and understand how to limit introductions before they occur (Wednesday, August 11th, 11:00 - 12:00 via Zoom)

If timing of our broadcast does not fit your schedule, webinar recordings will be available via APIPP's YouTube channel following the live event. Please RSVP to stay in the loop of when videos are online.
