Eastern Hemlocks, Forest Health, and Threats to the Future

Hear from experts in the field as they discuss forest management, threats to forest ecosystems, integrated pest management, hemlock woolly adelgid, and beech leaf disease, and attend a forest training to identify forest pests and diseases.

The Forest Health Workshop is sponsored by the Warren and Washington County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, the Lake George Land Conservancy, and the NYS Conservation District Employees’ Association. The content will focus on managing our forests for adaptation and resiliency with exploration of known threats affecting out forest ecosystems.

Applications for continuing education credits have been submitted to Society of American Foresters, NY Logger Training, International Society of Arborists, Pesticide, and American Planning Association, and will be made available to view on our website as they are accepted.
